What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy may seem like a mystery, but it has a solid background in neuroscience. Think of clinical hypnotherapy – a type of hypnosis – as a gentle and effective way to change your negative beliefs, release negative emotions and help you shift feelings, thoughts and habits that you no longer need. These alternative medicine approaches have a lot of research and support showing their effectiveness in a therapeutic context.

Hypnotherapy is a form of guided hypnosis practiced by a certified, professional Hypnotherapist. With the use of relaxation, permissive language, extreme concentration, and deliberate attention, clients are guided into a “trance” or altered state of consciousness.

Hypnotherapy taps into the unconscious mind in order to relieve a wide variety of issues, limiting beliefs and thought patterns. The unconscious mind not only manages sensations, movements and body functions, it also sends information through our body, positively or negatively affecting our health according to our unconscious beliefs.
